Parks & Recreation
From pocket parks to trails around the Eno River and Occoneechee Mountain, Hillsborough boasts a number of places for play and recreation. The map below gives a quick look at the location of all existing and planned parks, trails and greenways. A larger version of the map is available at the bottom of the page. For more information on what’s available and what’s planned, click on the links beside the map.
The Town of Hillsborough does not have a parks and recreation department. The volunteer Parks and Recreation Board makes decisions concerning town-owned parks. The Planning and Public Works departments work together to plan, install and maintain parks and recreation resources. For information on recreational programming and parks in Orange County, contact the Orange County Parks and Recreation Department.
